Short explanation

This print campaign was devised to promote The Sunday Times Rich List, the definitive guide to the UK’s wealthiest people.

The campaign worked by cheekily re-sizing celebrities and well-known figures featured in the list proportionately to their wealth.

For example, one execution saw the stars of the Harry Potter franchise on the red carpet, with JK Rowling enlarged so that her top half disappears off the page whilst Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) is almost invisible by her feet.

The campaign covered a wide range of wealth genres: other figures in the campaign included the cast of Dragon’s Den (a reality TV show featuring real life businessman); the Royal Family; the footballer Wayne Rooney and his Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson; and the Rolling Stones; all of whom were proportionately re-sized to the same comic effect.
